Red Sox shortstop Julio Lugo was scheduled to play today, but he's not in the lineup. He's been bothered with a lower back injury, and with the team leaving for Japan on Wednesday, it appears Lugo may not be going. The Red Sox have told rookie shortstop Jed Lowrie to be prepared to go on the trip. BTW: It's a beautiful day here at City of Palms Park.
