David Ortiz crushed a 3-and-2 fastball from Toledo's Chris Lambert for a no-doubt-about-it home run to right-center with one out and none on in the third inning.
It was Ortiz' third homer in as many rehab starts for the PawSox. The first one was a line drive to right on Thursday night, the second one a liner to left on Friday night and last night's was a more traditional Big Papi blast, a towering rocket to right-center.
After making contact with the 90 mph fastball, which was thigh-high on the inner half of the plate, Ortiz simply turned at the plate and calmly tossed his bat toward the Pawtucket dugout on the third-base side of the field, knowing clearly the ball was gone without having to watch it.
The homer cut Pawtucket's deficit to 9-3.
