Click the play button below to hear Sean's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: John Lackey, Mark Teixeira and the decreasing likelihood of a big trade involving the Red Sox.

Here's what Sean had to say about the Angels with Mark Teixeira:

"They have a strong lineup now, with Teixeira in the middle to provide some backing for Vladimir Guerrero. They have a deep bullpen anchored by Francisco Rodriguez, [and] a pretty deep rotation. They dont have a lot of weaknesses. They've got depth, they've got all those extra outfielders when they're healthy. I think that yesterday's deal kind of puts them over the top and makes themm the team to beat."

And about the Red Sox' trade prospects:

"I think whatever they do between now and 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon will be on the small side, maybe a left-handed reliever, something along those lines. But they're certainly having difficulty finding any takers on Manny Ramirez, as I think they understood would be difficult, and nothing else has really appeared on the horizon for them. So they continue to talk to people, but speaking to some Red Sox people after midnight last night, the feeling was that it was unlikely they were going to do anything of significance."
