Here are some excerpts from Sean's comments:

On Manny's homer: "It was quite a swing, obviously, and a dramatic moment that got Fenway back into it, tied the game, and it's also a reminder that Manny, aside from being overly selective at times -- the last couple of weeks has not been his most productive run at the plate -- over the last couple of nights he had the game-winning RBI in the eighth inning on the single to the opposite field [on Monday] and then the shot into the Monster seats. It shows what hes capable of when he does get hot.

On Pedroia: "Pedroia continues to just be a terrific all-around player. He extends his hitting sterak last night to a season high, shows a lot of range at second -- or certainly more than people had anticipated from him -- and hangs in on the double play very well and contributes a huge play [last night in the eighth inning]."

On Ortiz: "I talked to him over the weekend in New York, and he was starting to express a little concern that, even hitting flips in the cage, there was some soreness and not a lot of strength, and he was wondering if he was going to experience some sort of setback. Now that he's taken live B.P. the last two days, his approach and his attitude has become more positive, and it seems like it's coming around quite nicely."
