Click the play button below to hear Sean's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: whether changes are needed to the All-Star Game format, J.D. Drew's big night, Jonathan Papelbon's unfortunate comments about Mo Rivera, and David Ortiz's four-day stand in Pawtucket.

Here are some excerpts from Sean's comments:

On the All-Star Game: "It just seems to me that baseball is falling on its own sword here by getting into this habit, not only in the All-Star Game but during the regular season, of specialization and changing pitchers for certain matchups and batters. If you can't -- even 15 innings -- if you can't get through that on 10 or 11 pitchers, then maybe we need to examine some bigger questions here."

On Papelbon: "Papelbon has a habit of at times sticking his foot in his mouth, and I think that even as he attempted to clarify those statements later in the day -- the day before the game -- he probably got himself in that trouble, and [New York fans] made sure to remind him of that every time he appeared."

On Ortiz: "I think those at-bats [in Pawtucket] will be pretty carefully scrutinized, because people want to see how he does react to live pitching in game situations. And the things that people have been wondering about that you can't replicate in the cage is: What does he do the first time he checks his swing or holds up? How does that wrist withstand that kind of force and pressure? So that will be one thing to look at, and I think people just want to see him, you know, feeling comfortable in the batter's box and facing live pitching for the first time in six weeks."
