The Red Sox Foundation and NESN are teaming up to help collect new white athletic socks for Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP), an organization that provides medical care to Boston's homeless population. This is the third year that the two organizations have helped BHCHP in its sock drive efforts. Fans are invited to bring packages of new white socks to the Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles games this Friday and Saturday Doctors and nurses from BHCHP will distribute the socks to patients they care for on the streets, on park benches and in shelters across Greater Boston. BHCHP is recognized as a national leader in addressing the unique medical challenges of the homeless. |
