ortiz0805.jpgRed Sox slugger David Ortiz told the Boston Herald's Tony Massarotti after last night's game that he tweaked the left wrist that he injured in late May, forcing him to miss nearly two months of action. Ortiz told Massarotti that he felt a click in his left wrist during his ninth-inning at-bat against Kansas City closer Joakim Soria; he went on to ground out with two men on base.

"My last at-bat, it kind of pulled back a little bit. You feel that click and you get a little concerned about it," Ortiz said, according to the Herald. He said he did not know whether the issue would affect his status for tonight's game in Kansas City.

Ortiz also said in the interview that he is already feeling the effects of the Manny Ramirez trade. He is 1 for 15 with four walks in the four games since Manny was dealt.
