-- Kevin Youkilis is out of the starting lineup because of sickness, pitcher Josh Beckett is sick and outfielder Coco Crsip, who was scratched from Friday night's starting lineup because of flu-like symptoms, is still sick.

Manager Terry Francona said he didn't know if the problem was food-poisoning or a bug, but being without Youkilis and Crisp forced him to produce an interesting lineup that features Dustin Pedroia in the cleanup spot.

Jeff Bailey is starting at first base.

-- Sean Casey, placed on the disabled list Friday night, is suffering from a small disc protrusion in his neck. He is using traction in an attempt to alleviate the spasms in his neck.

-- Mike Lowell, on the DL because of an oblique pull, has been cleared to take some soft-toss.swings.

-- Shortstop Julio Lugo, on the DL because of a quadriceps pull, has been absent for a few days, dealing with a personal matter at home.
