TORONTO _ Red Sox pitcher David Aardsma has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a groin strain.
This is the right-hander's second stint on the DL due to his groin. PawSox starter David Pauley has been recalled from Pawtucket to replace him.
"They need guys out there to get outs," said Aardsma. "It's real frustrating because I know I can help this team."
