BALTIMORE -- Red Sox right fielder J.D. Drew is not in the starting lineup for the third consecutive day because of back stiffness.
Manager Terry Francona said Drew will try to take BP today and could be available to play at some point Wednesday night if needed.
"I think he's doing better, but he hasn't done anything baseball-wise," said Francona.
If he doesn't play Wednesday, and with the club's off-day on Thursday, Francona believes Drew will be able to start on Friday in Toronto.
