Click the play button below to hear Joe McDonald's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: Jon Lester proving once again that he is the team's most reliable starter in 2008, Josh Beckett's miserable outing in Boston, and Jason Bay feeling like he truly belongs.

Here's some of what Joe said about Lester:
"The one thing that Jon really has right now is, he has a lot of confidence. When he steps on that mound, he knows that he's going to pound that strike zone, he's going to throw strikes and he's going to make the hitters try to hit him, and he's been very successful."

And about Bay:
"He came into the clubhouse a couple of weeks ago and said that he didn't want to replace anybody; he wanted to be himself and things would take care of themselves. And certainly they have, and last night was almost the icing on the cake, where, 'OK I'm comforable in my new surroundings, the Boston market -- the big market -- isn't affecting my play.' And he mentioned last night that his success prior to the trade has just carried over. ... If he got off to a rough start, he knows that things wouldn't be this easy for him, but he says that things are going easy right now."
