Click the play button below to hear Joe McDonald's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: Clay Buchholz, Josh Beckett and Tim Wakefield, and Julio Lugo -- will he play again this season?

Here's some of what Joe said about what the Red Sox have to do to help Buchholz regain his confidence:
"It's going to take a lot. I think reality hit Clay Buchholz last night. He really thought that, prior to the start [last night], that he was going to kind of turn a page here, but very quickly last night after the game the reality set in that there is something wrong, and he has to figure out what it is. I think that he's looked at so much video and listened to so many people this year, that he's really overloaded with information. And now, as Terry Francona said, 'We're going to send him down to Portland to get him a renewed start, and hopefully it will take maybe a week, maybe two weeks, before the Double-A season is over, for him to figure it out, and then maybe he can help the Red Sox in September, and maybe in the postseason. But nothing is going right for this kid at this point; he knows it. The comment that he made after the game was that, 'The Red Sox need somebody on the mound that they can trust and they believe in, and I'm not that guy and this [demoting him to Portland] is the right decision. So he knows that he needs to get this straightened out, and he needs to get it straightened out soon."
