| Projo SoxTalk -- McAdam on the Yankees' sense of urgency »
"The Gambler," who turns 44 years old in November, has been getting killed since the All-Star break, allowing opponents to hit .312 against him. For the season, Rogers is 9-11 with a 5.09 ERA in 27 starts. If the Yankees and the Red Sox are in fact both interested in Rogers, Boston would seem to be unlikely to get him, since the Yankees, with an inferior record at this point, would get the chance to claim Rogers off waivers and work out a trade before the Sox ever get involved. |
