Gordon Edes of Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Red Sox have acquired outfielder Mark Kotsay in a deal with the Atlanta Braves, pending a physical. Edes attributed the story to an anonymous baseball souce with knowledge of the deal.

The 32-year-old Kotsay is batting .289 with six home runs and 37 RBI in 318 at-bats this season.
