Good day from rainy Fenway.

It is not baseball weather here. It is raining, although not heavily, and the tarp is on the field. Weather reports, though, say the rain should move out in time to play tonight.

If the Sox and Rays do meet, Boston will feature still another new lineup. This one does not include David Ortiz. We will let you know, when we meet later with Terry Francona, whether it is simply a day of rest with lefty Scott Kazmir pitching or if there are health concerns. Ortiz is 7-for-37 in his career against Kazmir.

Without Ortiz, Coco Crisp (leading off) Dustin Pedroia (batting third) and Jeff Bailey (hitting ninth) all have different spots. Here is the lineup:
