Click the play button below to hear Sean McAdam's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: Dustin Pedroia's unbelievable weekend and where his MVP hopes stand now, the possible return of Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell on Friday night, and how much hope the Sox have of catching the Rays.

Here's what Sean said about Pedroia's MVP candidacy:
"We've got one day shy of four weeks remaining in the season, and a lot can happen. We can assume, given past history, that the MVP is going to come from a team in contention, and the Red Sox certainly are that, whether they make the playoffs or not. You look at some of the other teams -- as good a season as Tampa has had, and they've had the best season of any team in the American League, I'm not sure there's an obvious MVP candidate on that club. If you look at a team like Minnesota, maybe you've got Morneau, who won a few years ago. With the White Sox you have Carlos Quentin as the obvious guy. Maybe Vladimir Guerrero with the Angels. But no one, except maybe Quentin, has had that unforgettable year statistically, and I think it might be the kind of year where someone like Pedroia emerges as a dark horse."
