Click the play button below to hear Kevin McNamara's comments, recorded this morning from Anaheim. The topics: Mark Teixeira's impact on the Angels offense, the time Los Angeles has had to set up its pitching and get its players healthy for the playoffs, how the Angels compare to Manny Ramirez and the Dodgers in the attention they are getting out in Southern California, and the Red Sox' workout day schedule.
Here's what Kevin said about Teixeira
"Since Teixeira has been here, it's really been a dramatic boost for the Angels. In his time here, in 54 games, he's knocked in 43 runs and hit over .350. ... Anyone who watched the [Red Sox-Angels playoff] series last year knew that the Angels were not only not productive, they were beat up, and that is not the case this year. You have a healthy Angels lineup with a huge addition in Teixeira, so it really is a very different team than Boston saw last October."
