Originally David Ortiz was scheduled to play first base tonight with Mike Lowell serving as the club's DH. Because of the wet conditions, Red Sox manager Terry Francona has decided to scratch Ortiz and insert Sean Casey.

Also, Red Sox starter Daisuke Matsuzaka has been scratched due to the weather. David Pauley will start for Boston in place of Dice-K.
