BOSTON -- Curt Schilling threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game Five at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox pitcher has missed the entire season after having shoulder surgery. He walked out to the mound with a standing ovation and tossed the pitch -- a one-hopper -- to backup catcher David Ross.

Former Red Sox outfielder, and fan favorite, Trot Nixon did the honors for Game Four with captain Jason Varitek serving as his batterymate.
