By Joe McDonald BOSTON _ The man who really got it going was rookie shortstop Jed Lowrie. His double to leadoff the bottom of the seventh started the entire rally for the Red Sox in their dramatic 8-7 come-from-behind victory over the Rays in Game Five of the ALCS. "All I can do is get on base," he said. "It's a situation where Balfour has been great all year, and I was just trying to get on base to start something." And he did. The Red Sox clubhouse after the historic victory was filled with enthusiasm and confidence. Most players were talking about how unbelievable of a win it was for the club. Quietly in the corner of the room, Lowrie was more focused on what lies ahead. "We're not just going to give up on this," said Lowrie. "We won (Thursday) but we still have to go win two more. We just made it interesting." |
