Clay Buchholz, pitching for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League, pitched five scoreless innings against Suprise on Thursday, allowing one hit and one walk with four strikeouts. That is great news, as it seems his redux in MiLB, after bringing him up too early, is doing the job of preparing him for Fenway in 2009. Can't wait to see him back on the hill.
You would do the Nation a big service with a story about the potential impact of Buchholz, Bowden, Masterson, Bard on the Rotation and Pen in 2009 - 2010.
All the discussions about landing CC, Burnett, Sheets, Fuentes, etc. are big $$$ bogus if these kids achieve their high sides quickly. Peavy for Buchholz and Masterson? What are they smoking?????.
