ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Mike Lowell and J.D. Drew both made it through Game One in good health and they participated fully in today's off-day workout. Both players say they intend on being in the lineup every day at this time of the season.

"I don't think I put myself in position to just play one game. I don't think that's the right way to do it," said Lowell. "I'm looking to play the whole postseason and be there every game."

Drew agreed. "That's how I feel now," he said. "Hopefully everything will continue to improve and you can build endurance and strength as the series goes along. We'll see how it goes."

Terry Francona said he thought Drew moved well, but he's clearly proceeding gingerly with Lowell. He mentioned that having Lowell's right-handed bat in the lineup Sunday when lefty Joe Saunders pitches for Los Angeles is important.

"There are decisions we need to still make and I haven't actually come to a conclusion yet," Francona said when asked if his lineup will change much through the series.

Drew and Lowell were a combined 0-for-8 in Game One and seeing live pitching is clearly the biggest adjustment for two veterans who haven't played much at all over the last six weeks.

"You can hit all the b.p. you want and feel good out there in batting practice," said Drew, "but I felt like I was on some balls. We'll see how it goes. You keep playing it out."
