Click the play button below to hear Kevin McNamara's comments, recorded this morning from Anaheim. The topics: Jon Lester's magnificent outing in Game 1, the co-starring roles put in by Jason Bay and Jacoby Ellsbury, the health of J.D. Drew and Mike Lowell, and the sense in California that the Angels have missed a big opportunity.

Here's what Kevin said about how Angels observers' reaction to the loss:
"It was strongly negative, there's no two ways about it. It's a blown opportunity for the Angels, in their eyes anyways. You dodge Beckett, but Jon Lester came through in a huge way. John Lackey -- obviously he pitched really well last night, and he just can't seem to beat the Red Sox in the postseason. He really pitched great against Boston in the regular season, took a no-hitter into the ninth, but when his offense can't help at all, that paints him in a corner. And it really paints the Angels into a huge corner on Friday night, and it puts an awful lot of pressure on Ervin Santana to win. They certainly can't come back to Boston 0-2."
