While Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia was named to the American League Gold Glove Team Thursday afternoon, teammate Kevin Youkilis was not.

Youkilis won the Gold Glove as a first baseman in 2007, but came up a bit short this season as the Rays' Carlos Pena earned the award.

When asked what he thought about Youkilis not winning again, Pedroia said he was surprised and didn't know who did win.

"I was a little upset about that," said Pedroia. "Youk makes my job a thousand times easier. He goes to his right so well, so I can move over and we work so well together. He definitely deserves it. He's awesome out there and we work well together."
