With spring training quickly approaching, the Red Sox continue to fill out their depth chart.
Boston has reportedly agreed to terms with Brad Wilkerson on a minor-league deal. The 31-year-old outfielder/first baseman hit .220 with four homers and 28 RBI last season for the Blue Jays and Mariners.
Originally selected by the Montreal Expos (33rd overall) in the 1998 draft, Wilkerson also played for the Nationals and the Rangers. His power numbers have declined the last few seasons but he can still play the outfield.
He can also play right field and could be used in an emergency situation for the Red Sox. He's considered a good guy in the clubhouse, which will help the young players in Pawtucket.
