Spring Training: Beckett retires six in a row

FORT MYERS, Fla. _ Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett worked two innings in his first spring training start against Boston College.

The right-hander retired all six batters he faced and struck out two. He threw 22 pitches (15 strikes).

Clay Buchholz is now pitching.
