Weaver salutes Adenhart on his way off the mound

By Joe McDonald ANAHEIM, Calif. _ Angels starting pitcher Jered Weaver was just taken out of the game with two outs in the top of the seventh inning with a 3-1 lead. The right-hander walked slowly off the field as the majority of the 41,385 in attendance gave him a standing ovation. Weaver tipped his cap then pointed to the heavens to honor Nick Adenhart. With that gesture, the fans went nuts.
