BOSTON - A couple quick-hitters from Fenway Park before the start of this nine-game home stand.
*Justin Masterson will start on Monday in place of the injured Diasuke Matsuzka. Tim Wakefield will be pushed back one day and pitch Tuesday against the Twins.
*SS Jed Lowrie talked extensively about his injured wrist. Lowrie had a cortisone shot a few days back but reports that the discomfort in his wrist has not noticeably subsided. Lowrie will meet with the Sox team doctor in a few hours but he says that he's planning on getting another opinion from a specialist in Arizona who has worked on Jason Bay and other teammates.
Lowrie is not ruling out surgery that would keep him on the shelf for a long time, if not the season. "I just want some sort of answer. It's a delicate situation," he said. "The last thing I want is surgery but if that's the thing that will definitely make this better, we'll think about it."
Nick Green is in the lineup again as the Sox starting shortstop. Reports out of Florida are that veteran SS Julio Lugo had five plate appearances today and is looking better. He may be needed at Fenway earlier than first thought.

Tonight's Lineup
