-The Florida Marlins ended the day as baseball's only undefeated team, after Florida beat the New York Mets, 5-4, last night in Miami. Jorge Cantu drove in the game-winning run with a walk-off single with two outs in the ninth inning. Emilio Bonifacio, who scored the game-winning run, has had multiple hits in all four Marlins games.

-The Texas Rangers lost for the first time this season, as Detroit's Miguel Cabrera hit a grand slam (his third home run of the season) and knocked in six runs to lead the Tigers to a 15-2 rout at Comerica Park.

-The Washington Nationals remained without a win as they fell to the Braves, 6-5, in 10 innings in Atlanta. Kelly Johnson singled home Jordan Schafer to end the Braves' home opener, which lasted nearly six hours thanks in part to a rain delay.

-Last year's World Series MVP, Cole Hamels, was awful in his first start of the season, surrendering seven runs and 11 hits in 3.2 innings as the Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Colorado Rockies, 10-3.

-The Milwaukee Brewers scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat the division rival Chicago Cubs, 4-3, in Milwaukee. The game ended when Rickie Weeks scored from third on a hard groundball hit by Ryan Braun.

-The Baltimore Orioles ended a 12-game losing streak against the Tampa Bay Rays by winning, 5-4, at Camden Yards. Mark Hendrickson won his first start as an Oriole.

-Twins third baseman Joe Crede hit a home run in his first game against his former team, as Minnesota beat the White Sox, 12-5, in Chicago. White Sox starter Jose Contreras lost his first game since last August's season-ending Achilles injury.

-The Tampa Bay Rays expect to have center fielder B.J. Upton in the starting lineup Monday. Upton is recovered from offseason shoulder surgery.

-The Los Angeles Dodgers placed starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda on the 15-day disabled list with a mild oblique strain.

-Philadelphia Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz may be headed for the disabled list with a rib injury.
