Tim Wakefield threw six innings in a minor league game today in Ft. Myers, his last outing there before making the start in the fourth game of the season this week.
Wakefield allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks. He struck out three, and did it in 83 pitches.
George Kottaras stayed behind in Ft. Myers to catch Wakefield. John Smoltz also stayed behind in Ft. Myers to throw a side session this morning.
