PORTLAND, Maine _ The Red Sox aren't the only club in the organization that has the thrill for walk-off victories.

The Sea Dogs, Boston's Double-A affiliate, scored five runs over the last two innings for a come-from-behind 9-8 victory over the Binghamton Mets Tuesday night at Hadlock Field.

The Dogs' Bubba Bell provided the walk-off grounder through the left side of the infield for the win.

"Guys showed a lot of character," said Portland manager Arnie Beyeler, who was ejected from the game in the bottom of the fifth inning for agreeing (more on that in a second) with the umpire. "They did a nice job to come back and win a ballgame."

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Dogs' Ryan Khoury hit a pitch directly in front of him in the box and when he started to run, it hit him. The play goes into the books as a 2-unassisted.

That's when Beyeler and the third-base umpire Mark Buchanan got into it. They agreed Khoury was out, but the argument ensued because the manager did not agree with the umpire's assessment of where the batter was hit by the ball.

"I didn't like the answer he gave me, that's all," Beyeler said. "He threw me out, so we talked about it a little bit more. It wasn't a disagreement whether he was out; it was where he ran into the ball."
