| Francona on Lowrie: surgery possible, yes, but don't panic yet »
Kevin Youkilis was in the starting lineup tonight against the Orioles, and showed no ill effects of being hit in the head by Baltimore's Danys Baez Friday night. Walking by in the clubhouse this afternoon, Youkilis said he had a minor headache after being plunked, but it was "Not too bad." "I'm alright," he said. Manager Terry Francona said they were initially worried about Youkilis -- who popped up quickly after the hit and stayed in the game -- but soon realized that he was clear-headed, and thus probably sound. "I think he knows he got hit -- a little soreness. But last night, right away, he was lucid right away. Once we saw his eyes, we were very relieved," Francona said. |
