Dustin Pedroia isn't in the lineup tonight against Anaheim, but he is available for emergency duty if needed, and should be back from his groin injury tomorrow.

Manager Terry Francona said that Pedroia's tests today came back far better than expected.

"Actually, the results, everything really is good," Francona said. "He actually I think reported in way better than we probably expected. He wanted to play tonight. That's probably the best sign of all. We're not going to play him tonight but I think there's a pretty good chance he'll play tomorrow and feel good enough to not be hobbling around. That was really good news."
