PAWTUCKET _ Kevin Youkilis will return to McCoy Stadium on Monday and Tuesday for a rehab assignment.

The Red Sox first baseman is on the disabled list with a mild oblique strain and he's scheduled to serve as the PawSox' designated on Monday and play first on Tuesday before returning to Boston on Wednesday.

Youkilis played parts of three seasons with the PawSox from 2003 to 2005. It will be the first time since Aug. 30, 2005 he will play for Pawtucket. He will be the sixth Red Sox player to rehab with the PawSox this season, joining Rocco Baldelli, Mark Kotsay, Julio Lugo, Jonathan Van Every and Daisuke Matsuzaka.
