The police arrested two Pawtucket men on charges they stole the wheels from PawSox pitcher Clay Buchholz's car.

Detective Donti Rosciti said a neighbor of Buchholz's called the police at 4 a.m. Friday to report the theft in progress.

When officers arrived, they found Buchholz's 2007 BMW hoisted on bricks. Two of the car's four wheels had been removed.

Tony Reverdes, 28, of 172 Magill St., and Airton Monteiro, 21, of 52 Centre St., were arrested on felony charges of possession of stolen vehicle parts, larceny over $500, and tampering with an auto.

They were arraigned Friday afternoon in district court in Providence.
