First baseman Jeff Bailey has been put on rehab assignment, and could be back in his familiar Pawtucket Red Sox uniform by tomorrow. Bailey has been rehabbing a high ankle sprain with the major league club for the past month, ever since he was injured on a play at first base in early July. Bailey left the team tonight to begin his assignment. The 1B/OF is hitting .209 with three home runs and nine RBI this season. |
