Farrell returns to Red Sox

TORONTO _ Red Sox pitching coach John Farrell has rejoined the club after he needed to return home to Cleveland for a very serious family matter.

He was not with the team for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre, but he's back for Wednesday's game.

Red Sox manager Terry Francona asked the media to respect Farrell's privacy during this time.
