Jason Beck of MLB.com writes that the Tigers had great interest last winter in signing Junichi Tazawa, the Red Sox rookie right-hander who will make his first big-league start tonight against Detroit at Fenway. Says Beck: "There's no hubbub about a gyroball like what followed Daisuke Matsuzaka. But there's the belief in a good, solid pitcher with talent.'' |
