NEW YORK -- Red Sox utility infielder Nick Green remains in Boston due to disk problem in his back that is causing weakness in his leg. He's been rehabbing and playing catch up to 90 feet at Fenway Park while the team closes out its three-city road trip in New York this weekend. "He's had some minimal improvement," said Red Sox manager Terry Francona. "Not drastic improvement, but he is minimally improved. We'll certainly get a better feel when we get home." Green began to feel the "dead leg" on the Sox' last home stand and was forced to return to Boston while the club traveled from Baltimore to Kansas City earlier in the week.
